The latest phones in the Google Pixel series are remarkable devices as they are filled with the latest specefications. The hype around them has been immense. Despite this, however, Google has announced that the release dates of these devices have been postponed. In the United States, Google Pixel 5 will be released on the 29th of October, 2020.
Through their posts or via e Google launch event you may have understood that the device would be available from the 15th of October. This is true, just not for all regions. In their blog post, Google confirms the timeline for the pixel 4a(5G) as well as the Pixel 5.
Google Pixel 5 Release Date
“Pixel 4a (5G) will be available in Japan on Oct. 15 and eight other countries starting in November. Pixel 5 will be available in eight countries starting Oct. 15, and in the US starting Oct. 29. “
The United States will not get their hands on this device until the 29th of October. This will be after units begin to ship in the United Kingdom. No statements regarding this delay were given. Even the Pixel 4a (5g) is seeing a delayed-release. Japan will get their hands on it on the 15th of October. All we know about the United States and other regions is that it will be available in November.
Pixel 5 and 4a (5g) in India
The Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4a (5G) may not be released in India. This is based on a tweet by Google in response to when the device would come to India. This could be because of the lack of a 5G infrastructure in India as of now. The Pixel 4a will be coming soon though and will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
Even with all of this, there is immense hype surrounding these phones. The pixel 5 boasts amazing features like 8 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of internal memory. It bears an OLED display with a 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution screen on a device with a 19:9 screen-to-body ratio. the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G Chipset, this device is a riot. With the release date looming, fans eager to get their hands on this device. Preorders are now open and they estimated delivery shows early November.
