Pavitra was born on 22nd August 1986 as Neha in Hisawada, Baghpat in UP. She belongs to a Jat family. She was raised by her family in Police Lines Quarters, Pitampura and complete school in Rohini. Pavitra was a UPSC aspirant and took the coaching class for over 1.5 years. She owns a diploma in Hospitality and Aviation.

Pavitra started her television career in 2019 with MTV’s popular reality show Splitsvilla 3 as a contestant and came out as the finalist. The reality show gave her popularity and also the opportunity to work on television. In 2010, she debuted as Dalljiet, in Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. Later then, she entered Star Plus show Love U Zindagi. She played a lead role in the opposite of Sidharth Shukla.
From 2011 to 2012, she acted as Simran Ahluwalia in Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto. From 2012 to 2013, she played Anushka in Honge Judaa Naa Hum. She also entered one of the most-loved television soap of Star Plus Yeh Hai Mohabbatein as Nidhi in the negative role. She has also been the part of Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural drama Naagin 3.
