Indian Playback Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam Died After Testing Positive for COVID-19

Indian Playback Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam Died today due to the COVID-19. He was one of the most and talented playback Singers of South India film industry.

Kollywood playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam’s health condition was extremely critical. The singer who was tested positive for Covid-19 in the first week of August was admitted to the intensive care unit of MGM Hospital in Chennai. Although Covid-19 is no longer a cause, he continues to be on a ventilator as it has affected his heart and lungs. During the treatment, he died in the hospital. SPB was a diabetic patient and sources say that this might be the cause of worsening his status.

Medical bulletin pointing about the singer’s health conditions came out yesterday. It says that his condition turned hyper-critical in the last 24 hours. The statement said,

“Thiru SP Balasubrahmanyam, who had been admitted to MGM Healthcare on August 5, remains on ECMO and other life support measures. His condition in the last 24 hours has deteriorated further, warranting maximum life support and he is extremely critical. The team of experts at MGM Healthcare are closely monitoring his health condition.

It was the singer himself who informed people about his illness through a social media page in which he said that he was having a “discomfort” for a few days adding that he had chest congestion along with on and off fever.

Tested positive for Covid-19 earlier

The singer who was admitted to the private hospital due to unhealthy symptoms was tested positive for Covid-19 last August 5. Initially, they were planning to treat him in their own house. However, he was shifted immediately back to hospital, when his health started to deteriorate. On August 14th, his condition had worsened which had created massive speculation.

A glad tiding came out on September 7, when his son, SP Charan, said that he is no longer a Covid-19 patient. He also added that in order for his conditions to improve, he continues to be on a ventilator and that he plans to leave the hospital soon.

“Dear media friends. Thanks for your continuous support and prayers for my father. My father is fine and stable and his corona test has become negative. Will keep you posted about the updates.” His statement said.

After that on September 19, he had said that his father had started oral taking of food. The latest news hence came as extremely shocking to many people when we heard that he died today.

Celebrities pray for the singer to return to full-health

Famous celebrities have paid a visit to SPB and are hoping that he will come to a stable life at the earliest. Actor-politician Kamal Hassan went to visit SPB on Thursday. When asked about it he said; “Life support machines are in use, can’t say he’s doing well. He’s very critical, everyone is praying to the almighty.”
