The cast of Shailaja Reddy Alludu includes Naga Chaitanya as Chaitu Gaadu (male protagonist), Anu Emmanuel as Anu Reddy (female protagonist) and Remya Krishna (Shailaja Reddy – Anu’s mother). Another casting involves Anu Emmanuel, Vennela Kishore, Prudhvi and Murali Krishna who had done justice to their roles.
In most of the Telugu movies, the female leads usually do not get to shine as much as the male character. Shailaja Reddy Alludu, however, has taken a different turn here. Anu who plays female protagonists have been upgraded as an actor and is portrayed as someone who stood up for her own needs. Remya Krishna, who has received much appreciation for her role as Shiva kami in Bahubali, could have provided a better character sketch.
Her dominant character is not something that is virtuous. Also, as the movie came to an end, much of the glory was given to the lead male character, even when she could have had her own moment. But the director decided to go the other way around as the usual son in law who fights the gangsters.

Many scenes from the movie are relatable to this generation such as the wedding rituals. The heart-filling comedy scenes by Vennela Kishore and Prudhvi adds more to this entertainment. Gopi Sundar, who has become known for his touch of music in Geetha Govindam, attaches an extra element to this movie. In short, the movie is a package of romance, dance and comedy and is one worth watching this weekend.
