The famous Crunchyroll show Rent-A-Girlfriend had made significant waves in 2020 with the launch of the first Season. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the next season to watch their favourite anime characters on screen. They are now demanding that the next season be returned at the earliest. While Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2 does not have an official release date yet, anime watchers can certainly expect the return of the next season.
The First Season of the show was released in July 2020 on MBS’s Super Animism and will finish with its last episode incoming Friday. The show is produced by TMS Entertainment who has become famous for producing Dr.Stone Season 2, Fruits Basket Season 3, Baki Season 3 and Megalo Box Season 2.

What led to the next Season?
The first Season of Rent-a-girlfriend is being aired on Netflix in Japan. This platform usually announces a second season when the show becomes a huge hit among its users. As of this anime, it is the second most popular show in Netflix Japan after Fire Force. The huge popularity and fanbase is the major reason why Netflix has decided to extend to another sequel.
What is the Season 2 story about?
The story revolves around Kinoshita Kazuya, a 20-year-old college student. He was heartbroken by his girlfriend after dating for a month. In order to rebound her, he began looking for a girl in an online dating app. He finds a girl, Chizuru Mizuhara, but he finds her to be too perfect for a girl and gives her a low rating. Learning that Kazuya gave her low stars and gave him low scores. She decides to confront him. Things take a turn when Kazuya’s grandmother decides to confront her. The story follows the events that take place when they realize that they are neighbours and goes to the same college.

The series will end with a cliffhanger as expected by the fans. In the second season, the TV series of the manga comic “Kanojo Okarishimasu” will be based on the plots of Volume 7 of the same and it offers more than enough material for it. The Japanese show will be released prior to the English ones. Hence the English comic lovers should have to wait until the summer of 2021 for the sequel.
The series is an adaptation of the famous Manga comic aforesaid. Usually, when a manga comic is adapted to a TV series, it usually takes a different plot. But this is not the case with Rent-a-Girlfriend. The series is almost like it’s comic mostly because of the connections in different plots. Still, it is not a Xerox copy to the original comic. The dialogues are made different, some chapters from the comic are deleted. For instance, the first episode includes the first two chapters of the comic. All eyes are now fixed for the official release date of Rent-a-Girlfriend Season2.
